                                      Military Statement No. 15

NRF Strikes at Abu Jabra Oil Filed, State of West Kordofan.

Our NRF gallant forces have attacked Abu Jabra Oil Field in the State of West Kordofan.

The attack which took place, Sunday, November 26^th brought the Oil Field under total control of the NRF.

The government garrison guarding the Oil Filed was totally destroyed. Numerous soldiers including high ranking officers and army generals have surrendered to the NRF and are now recovering from their ordeal. A Helicopter at the garrison was hit and is believed to have fallen down in the vicinity nearby.

In its victory, the NRF has gained substantial amount of weapons, ammunitions, anti-aircraft missiles and military vehicles. 

At a different level, and earlier on the same day, Janjaweed and their allied government army attacked NRF base at Bir Margi, North Darfur.  The intruders were summarily repulsed. Defeated survivals fled the battle field leaving behind their dead commander.
