Welcome the return of relations between Chad and Sudan which have been achieved by the Leader' initiative 2008-11-16

African contact group charged with following up the situation between Chad and Sudan held it's the 6th meeting in N'djamena. The meeting was chaired by the Secretary of African union Affairs at the General People's Committee for Foreign Liaison and International Cooperation and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Congo as the two countries leading group which includes in addition to both Senegal, Gabon and Eritrea. The meeting included foreign ministers from Chad, Sudan, Eritrea and the Minister Delegate to Foreign Minister of Gabon and the representative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Senegal. The meeting was attended by the General Secretary of community (Cen.Sad) and representatives of the United Nations, the African and European Federations, the Economic Community of Central African States and representatives from the United States of America, United Kingdom, France and Canada. The secretary of African affairs welcomed to hold this meeting in Chadian capital with the returns of diplomatic relations between the two countries and their ambassadors back to their headquarters in Khartoum and N'djamena.
