Vice President says Eid Aladha occasion suitable for disseminating peace, forgetting hatred
Khartoum, Dec. 8 (SUNA)- Vice - President of the Republic, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, expressed his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Sudanese nation on the advent of Eid Al-Adha, saying that Eid Al-Adha is a suitable occasion to uphold values of peace, solidarity, reconciliation and mercy as well as forgetting hate and hatred. In a speech to the Sudanese nation on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, Vice President said Monday morning that these sublime values are legacy of all people and governments of Sudan, expressing hope that the auspicious occasion returns to Sudan next year with Peace Security, stability and development prevailing in the region of Darfur. In this connection, Taha referred to the magnificent meanings of sacrifice and obedience as mentioned in the Holy Qur'an in the story of sacrifice of Prophet Abraham and his son Ismail (Peace be upon them). Vice President further supplicated to the Almighty God that Palestine returns to the Palestinian people, Iraq enjoys a lasting peace and concord, injustice be removed from Afghanistan and that the week people all over the world gain their complete rights. He emphasized importance of maintaining cohesion of the social fabric, reconciliation, co-existence and supporting the right in surpassing the challenges and foiling conspiracies being woven against the country.
