Total of Oil Revenues in November Reach 347.79 million Dollars

 

Khartoum, Jan. 11 (SUNA)- Total of the oil revenues in November reached 347.79 million dollars, the share of the national government in which was 171.05 million dollars, while the share of the Government of South Sudan (GoSS) was 150 million dollars, said the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, Dr. Al-Tayeb Abu-Ganaya. He explained at the meeting of the joint committee for the sharing of oil revenues Sunday that the direct transfers to the Government of South Sudan (GoSS) were 120.48 million dollars. Dr. Abu-Ganaya indicated that total of the funds deducted for the interest of the Fund for Unity Support reached 21.22 million dollars, which were taken at the rate of 50% from the national government share and by 25% from the share of the Government of South Sudan in revenues of the oil extracted from the fields existing at the arbitration area, as determined by the Protocol on the Sharing of Wealth. He said that total of the funds delivered to the oil producing states of Wohda, the Upper Nile and South Kordofan were 3.15 million dollars, 3.36 million dollars and 2.73 million dollars, respectively. Dr. Abu-Ganaya said that the share of Abyei area in the oil revenues for last November was 4.78 million dollars, in accordance with the protocol. Meanwhile, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance of the Government of South Sudan (GoSS), Agre Tessa Saboni, underscored accuracy of the oil accounts and the transparency that is characterizing performance of the joint committee for the sharing of oil revenues.
