The parliament approves general budget for 2009
Khartoum, Dec. 1 (SUNA) - The National Assembly approved Monday the general budget of the state for the financial year 2009 and the accompanying acts. The parliament, chaired by Speaker Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Tahir, decided to resume its sitting on December 15 to complete the works of its current session, which ends on December 24, pointing to the possibility that the parliament will consider extending its current session. Al-Tahir called on the executive organs to work to implement the budget according to the accompanying tables. BT/BT
