The Presidency discusses a number of issues in the political arena
Khartoum, Oct. 28 (SUNA)- The Presidency held a meeting Tuesday evening under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir in the presence of First Vice President Salva Kiir Mayardit and Vice President Ali Osman Mohamed Taha. The meeting deliberated on a number of issues, including the works of the sub-committees of the Forum of the People of Sudan. The meeting also got acquainted with the ongoing arrangements for approval of the formation of the Political Parties Affairs Council at the National Assembly, affirming speeding up the approval and submitting it to the Presidency for issuing the presidential decree on the appointment. The Presidency meeting also got acquainted on the outcome of the consultations between the National Congress and Sudan People's Liberation Movement and involvement of the political parties inside and outside the Government of National Unity on nominations for the membership of the National Elections Commission, stressing the importance of speeding up the approval of the nominees by the National Assembly prior to the issuance of the presidential decree on the appointment. The meeting also got acquainted with progress of implementation of the roadmap on Abyei. BT/BT
