Taha to Leave for Libya Saturday
Khartoum, July 18 (SUNA)-Vice President of the Republic, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, accompanied by the Presidential Advisor, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, would leave to Libya Saturday to acquaint the Libyan leadership with the developments and the situation in Sudan in the context of consultations between the two sister countries and ways to confront the allegations against Sudan by the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Luis Moreno-Ocampo. The Press Secretary of the President of the Republic, Mahgoub Fadul Badri, in a statement to SUNA said that the current move of the Sudanese diplomacy abroad comes in accordance with the recommendations of the higher committee to manage the crisis with the ICC. SUNA learned that, in the context of the diplomatic and political movements being led by the government, the Assistant of the President of the Republic, Dr. Nafie Ali Nafie, accompanied by the State Minister at the Foreign Ministry, Ali Karti, will leave for Doha to convey a message from the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, to the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hammad bin Khalifa Al-Thani. The Presidential Advisor, Dr.Ghazi Salahuddin, will also leave for Iran carrying a message from President Al-Bashir to the Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. IF/MO
