TDRA Calls on Ministry of Finance to Fulfill Commitments for Implementation of Al-Fasher Agreement
Khartoum, Nov. 19 (SUNA)- The Transitional Darfur Regional Authority (TDRA) has called on the Ministry of Finance to fulfill the government commitments for implementing Al-Fasher agreement which was signed by the Vice - President, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, and the Senior Assistant of the President of the Republic, Meni Arko Minawe. At the regular news forum of Sudan News Agency (SUNA) Wednesday, the Commissioner of Darfur Council for Peace and Reconciliation, Mubarak Hamid, urged the Ministry of Finance to provide the sum of 200 million dollars which was approved by Al-Fasher agreement. He said that providing this sum is important to implement programmes for expanding peace culture, patching up the social fabric, conducting tribal reconciliations as well as boosting the voluntary repatriation of refugees and displaced people to their home areas. Hamid referred to the council's role in implementation of the security arrangement clause, which was given top priority in Al-Fasher agreement. MO/MO
