Sudan Able to Abort Issuance of European Decision to Call on Sudan to Cooperate with International Criminal Court

 

Brussels, Nov. 26 (SUNA)- Sudan was able to abort for the second time in one week a plot of the European group to issue a resolution that calls on Sudan to cooperate with the International Criminal Court (ICC) at the meetings of the general assembly of the member states in the Rome basic statute which established the Hague-based International Criminal Court, and also the meetings of the Joint Parliamentary Council of the African Caribbean - Pacific Group and the parliaments of the European Union countries, which were held in the capital of New Guinea. In a statement to SUNA, Sudan envoy to the European Union, Ambassador Najib Al-Khair Abdul-Wahab, said that Sudan was able to get support of the African group, headed by Tanzania, the African Caribbean - Pacific, headed by Ghana, and the Arab group led by Syria, and subsequently to abort the European endeavours to issue a decision that calls on Sudan to cooperate with the International Criminal Court (ICC).MO/MO
