South Sudan minister killed in air crash
KHARTOUM (AFP) — South Sudan's defence minister was killed on Friday in a plane crash along with 23 other people, most of them army officers, the south's Deputy Prime Minister Riek Mashar said.
Dominic Dim's plane crashed some 375 kilometres (around 220 miles) west of the southern capital Juba, Mashar told AFP.
Mashar gave no reason for the crash, but ruled out an attack.
