SPLM supports Initiative of the People of Sudan with delegation comprising Secretary General, his Deputy and Al-Helu
Khartoum, Aug. 7 (SUNA )- The Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) has declared its support to the Initiative of the People of Sudan, which was presented by the President of Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, to complete the peace process in Darfur, with a delegation that comprises the SPLM Secretary General, his Deputy and member of the Political Bureau, Abdulaziz Al-Helu. The SPLM Deputy Secretary General, Yasser Arman, said in a statement to SUNA following a meeting of the SPLM ministers in the Government of National Unity, chaired by First Vice President of the Republic and President of the Government of Southern Sudan Salva Kiir Mayardit at the Republican Palace Thursday, that the meeting has reached a clear vision on Darfur issue which will be presented to the National Congress and then to all political forces and the civil society organizations particularly, the people of Darfur. Arman pointed out that the SPLM will play a key role in the next period in cooperation with the people of Darfur, civil society organizations and the international community saying that the SPLM will send delegations to a number of countries to present its views for reaching a just solution to the problem of Darfur and boosting peace and stability in the country. The SPLM Deputy Secretary General pointed out that the three-member delegation supporting the Initiative of the People of Sudan will discuss ways for holding a conference of national consensus on Darfur issue.
