Report on Implementation of Electronic Government Plan Reviewed
Khartoum, Oct. 31 (SUNA)- The technical committee for following up the national strategy of informative industry in Sudan, headed by the State Minister at the Council of Ministers, Kamal Abdul-Latif, reviewed in its meeting Thursday a report on implementation of the adopted plan of the electronic government, presented by member of the committee, Suodad Mahmoud. The plan aims to enhance and to provide the government services to the beneficiaries, realization of sustainable development and the objectives of the 25-year development strategy. The meeting underscored the importance of support to the implementation of the five-year development plan, establishment of a central institution to organize geographical information, completing the computerization process at the government institutions and establishment of joint services' centres. The meeting also reviewed a paper on the technology process in Sudan on the occasion of the National Day for Banking Technology, which was presented by the committee's member Dr. Izz-Eddin Kamel.
