Released Sami Al-Haj and other Two Sudanese Detainees in Guantanamo Arrive in Khartoum
Khartoum, April 2 (SUNA)- Three Sudanese detainees in Guantanamo arrived in Khartoum in the early hours of Friday top of them was Aljazeera TV channel cameraman Sami Mohi-Eddin Mohamed Al-Haj, Amir Yagoub Mohamed Al-Amir, from Omdurman and Walid Mohamed Al-Haj Mohamed Ali from Haj Yousif area. The three released Sudanese detainees arrived on board of an American military plane. By the release of Sami Al-Haj, AmirYagoub and Walid Mohamed Al-Haj the number of the released Sudanese increased the number of the Sudanese detainees from Guantanamo to eight citizens, while four remained in detention including Ibrahim Osman, and Mohamed Nur Osman, both of them from the Red Sea, Mustafa Ibrahim Mustafa from Al-Managil area and Ibrahim Ahmed Mahmoud Al-Ghosi from Atbara and the later was presented before a military court. Meanwhile, the U.S. Embassy in Khartoum Friday issued a statement indicating that the release of the Sudanese detainees took place in the context of the cooperation between US embassy and the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Intelligence and Security Service. The Embassy said that it wishes to express its sincere appreciation for the support and leadership of Foreign Minister Deng Alor and NISS Director Salah Abdullah Ghosh in successfully concluding this matter of great mutual concern MO/MO
