Presidents Al-Bashir and Al-Assad agree on importance of urgent unified Arab movement to exercise pressure on Israel to stop its aggression on Gaza

Damascus, Jan. 12 (SUNA) - President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir and Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad held talks in Damascus Monday that focused on the dangerous situations in Gaza Strip as a result of the continuous Israeli massacres against the innocent Palestinian people. Agreement was reached during the meeting on the importance of urgent unified Arab movement and intensification of efforts with the international community to exercise pressure on Israel and compel it to stop its aggression. The meeting also stressed that cessation of the aggression should coincide with withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces, lifting of the unjust blockade imposed on the steadfast Palestinian people in Gaza Strip and permanent opening of the crossings. President Al-Bashir expressed appreciation to Syria's stances supporting the just Arab issues. President Al-Assad, on his part, affirmed during the meeting the stand of the Syrian government and people alongside Sudan in the face of threats it faces. BT/BT
