President Al-Bashir receives recommendations and decisions of National Forum of the People of Sudan for solving Darfur problem
Khartoum, Nov. 12 (SUNA) - President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir Wednesday received the recommendations and decisions of the National Forum of the People of the Sudan for Solving Darfur Problem, which concluded its session Wednesday in the Friendship Hall in Khartoum. The sitting was attended by Eritrean President Issias Afeworki, Chairman of National Ummah Party Sadiq Al-Mahdi, Chairman of the Democratic Unionist Party Mohamed Osman Al-Mirghani, national figures, members of the Diplomatic Corps and International and Regional Organizations. The concluding session was chaired by Chairman of National-Rank Unity Committee Field Marshal Abdul-Rahman Swaraddahab, who welcomed the presence of Chairman of the Democratic Unionist Party Mohamed Osman Al-Mirghani, and conveyed his condolences over the death of former head of council of state Sayed Ahmed Al-Mirghani. Swaraddahab reviewed some of the recommendations and decisions put forward by the forum, expressing hope that the state would translate them into reality. Meanwhile, General Sultan of Fur Tribe, Sultan Ibrahim Yusof Ali Dinar, addressed the forum on behalf of the conferees, wishing success to efforts of the Arab-African initiative which will be culminated by holding the Doha talks. President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir affirmed in his statement before the concluding session of the forum that its recommendations would be given due consideration both by the federal and state governments. The President pledged that he will work together with the presidency of the forum and its members to implement these recommendations by taking whatever necessary legislative, executive and judicial procedures. The President explained that he was confident when he launched the initiative that the people of Sudan would pave the way for peace, stability, security and welfare at the end of the conference by virtue of consensus, free deliberations, sincere devotion and determination.
