President Al-Bashir Reaffirms Government Keenness to Complete Peace in Darfur
Khartoum, Aug. 7 (SUNA) - President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir has reaffirmed the government keenness to complete Darfur peace and boost the social and development work in the country. Addressing the inaugural sitting of the Seventh Conference of the Sudanese Islamic Movement at the fair ground in Buri, Khartoum, Thursday, President Al-Bashir called on all the Sudanese people for unification, pointing out that the Islamic Movement in Sudan endeavours to unify all Sudanese people as they are brothers and sisters in one homeland, besides fully supporting issues of the oppressed people against the international injustice and arrogance. President Al-Bashir affirmed that the Seventh Conference of the Sudanese Islamic Movement symbolizes a turning point in its history and a culmination of more than 9000 basic conferences. Chairman of the Politburo of the Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS), Dr. Khaled Mashaal, addressing the conference, declared support and solidarity of the Palestinian people with Sudan against allegations of the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), calling for unification of Muslims to confront injustices of the Western countries. Faisal Molowi, who addressed the conference on behalf of foreign delegations participating in the conference, said that the conference of the Sudanese Islamic Movement constitutes a very important stage of the Dawaa (Propagation) for Islam, stressing importance of collection of Muslim efforts in the world and cooperation for realization of stability. President Al-Bashir received Bayah (oath of allegiance) from the general conference of the movement. The three-day conference is to discuss in its second sitting Thursday performance reports of the Executive Office, Shura Council and the Technical Committee to be presented by Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Tahir and Hassan Osman Rizig.
