President Al-Bashir Meets Delegation of International Moderation Forum and Affirms Importance of the Unity of Islamic Rank
Khartoum, Dec. 3 (SUNA)- President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, has affirmed the importance of the unity of the Islamic rank to confront the challenges which are facing the Islamic World and to cope with issues of the era. This came during his meeting Wednesday at the Guest House with a delegation of the International Moderation Forum. President Al-Bashir called for elevation of the lofty values of Islam and avoiding of extremism. Chairman of the International Moderation Forum, Saddiq Al-Mahdi, said in a statement to SUNA after the meeting that the meeting focused on the importance of formulation of a progressive project that unites the Islamic nation and abandons aspects of separation and disputing. He asserted the Forum's keenness to unite the word of all the Muslims and to make them capable to cope with the developments in the modern era. Member of the delegation, Marwan Al-Gaouri, said that President Al-Bashir has appreciated the message of the International Moderation Forum for the unity of the Islamic nation, especially under the current critical time in which the Islamic nation is suffering from injustice and attempts to affect its thought and culture and to influence its political decision.
