President Al-Bashir Appreciates Stances of the East Africa Journalists Union in Support of Sudan

 

Khartoum, Oct. 28 (SUNA) - President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, has appreciated the stances of East Africa Journalists Union and its support to the issues of Sudan, specially with regard to the move of the International Criminal court (ICC) against the country. This came when the President received Tuesday at the Guest House a delegation of the Journalists Union of East Africa, affirming Sudan support to the Union in carrying out its important role in the region. Meanwhile, the Secretary General of East Africa Journalist Union, Omer Al-Faroug Osman, commended in a statement to SUNA the patriotic and strong stances of President Al-Bashir as a prominent African leader who confronts a number of challenges and emphasized the determination of Sudan and the People of Sudan to press ahead for reaching stability and progress. Al-Faroug indicated that the meeting with the President touched on many issues of the African continent, such as development, interventions in domestic affairs of nations as well as the ICC targeting to Sudan. Chairman of the General Union of the Sudanese Journalists Union and Chairman of East Africa Journalists Union, Dr. Mohi-Eddin Titawi, affirmed in a statement to SUNA the support of the African media and press to Sudan's stances at the regional and International arenas. Dr. Titawi expressed the determination to transfer the experiments of the General Union of the Sudanese journalists to the African countries, particularly the housing project of the Sudanese journalists which was met with appreciation of East Africa Journalists Union and the International Journalists Union.
