President Al-Bashir Affirms Government Commitment to Enhance Irrigation Water in the Context of Agricultural Development Campaign
Sinja, Dec. 18 (SUNA)- President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, has affirmed the state's keenness to enhance the irrigation water situation in the context of the adopted country-wide Agricultural Development Campaign. Addressing a mass rally at Sami Al-Haj Square in Sennar city Thursday, President Al-Bashir underscored the important role of youths in the rehabilitation and development process. He lauded the prominent history of Sennar and the role of its people. President Al-Bashir said that he was visiting Sennar State to get acquainted with the conditions of its citizens and work, in collaboration with the state's government, to provide basic services all over the state. Meanwhile, the Wali (governor) of Sennar State, Engineer Ahmed Abbas Mohamed, said that the citizens in Sennar State remained supporting the National Salvation Revolution since its advent. The federal Minister of Health, Dr. Thabita Butros, pointed to the efforts of the national unity government and Sennar State in the health. She referred to major health establishments which were inaugurated Thursday morning by President Al-Bashir in Sennar. Dr. Thabita called for adherence to unity and peace, and pledged to coordinate efforts with Sennar State government for implementing more health plans and programmes in the state. MO/MO
