President Al-Bashir Affirms Continuation of Work in Implementation of Western Salvation Highway

 

Khartoum, Nov. 12 (SUNA) - President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir has affirmed continuation of work in implementation of Western Salvation Highway, referring to the inauguration of Western Salvation Highway - Al-Khuwai Al-Nuhud Sector- at length of 103 kms recently. Addressing the concluding session of the National Forum of the People of Sudan for the solution of Darfur problem at the Friendship Hall in Khartoum Wednesday, President Al-Bashir said that work would continue in Al-Nuhud- UmKaddada Sector, where a sum of 704 million Sudanese pounds has been allocated for completion of the road in its various axes as quickly as possible. In the axis of development, the President asserted commitment to provide electricity to Darfur states as soon as possible besides digging of 685 wells in Darfur states next year. He also pledged building of 139 basic stage and secondary schools as well as 45 hospitals and medical centres in the budget of 2009. President Al-Bashir announced start of rehabilitation of the big agricultural schemes in the three states of Darfur besides the commitment to complete the water networks in the three capital towns of the states at a cost of 73 million pounds, referring to the allocation of 50 million pounds for financing of the producers.
