Preparations to Launch Medical Convoy to Abyei Area Reviewed
Khartoum, Jan. 28 (SUNA) - The Presidential Advisor and Deputy Chairman of the National Congress for the South Affairs, Dr. Riek Gai, received a delegation of Abyei area, co-headed by deputy chairman of Abyei administration, Rahama Abdul-Rahman Al-Nur, and Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly and Political Supervisor of Abyei, Zakaria Atim, and reviewed preparations to stage a medical and health convoy to Abyei area. The convoy will be launched by the Sudanese National Youth Union, under patronage of the Presidential Advisor and Deputy Chairman of the National Congress for the South Affairs, Dr. Riek Gai. Dr. Gai affirmed the commitment of the National Congress and Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) to go ahead implementing the items of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA). He asserted that the national unity government is giving top priority to provision of more services to all the people of Sudan. He stressed the necessity of the unity of rank to foil the conspiracies of Sudan enemies. The delegation of Abyei said that the area is currently enjoying stability, calling for more services to the citizens there. Members of the delegation affirmed their rejection to the false allegations of the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC). MO/MO
