Police Forces in South Darfur Repulse Attack of Unruly Group on Wad-Hajam area in Buram Locality

 

Khartoum, Dec. 12 (SUNA)- A force of the Central Emergency Police in South Darfur State repulsed Thursday an attack staged by an unruly armed group on Wad-Hajam area, Buram Locality - 45 kilometers far from Buram - and destroyed three vehicles belong to the attacking group. The Commissioner of Buram Locality, in South Darfur State, Eissa Mohamed Abdalla, said that three policemen and a number of citizens have martyred in the attack, adding that a number of wounded persons are receiving treatment at Buram Hospital. He referred to coordination between the security committees in Buram and Tulus Localities to confront security violations, adding that the process of reconciliation between tribes at Buram and Tulus areas was not yet completed. The commissioner affirmed the readiness of the citizens at Buram Locality for negotiations to achieve a peaceful solution, calling on all people at Buram and Tulus areas to stick to self-restraint and patience. Meanwhile, the chieftain of Habaniya tribe, Engineer Jaafar Ali Al-Ghali, called on the unruly groups to avoid attacking citizens and to abide by the agreements toward achieving a lasting solution for the crisis between the two parties.
