Oil Revenues for October Exceed 608 Million Dollars
Khartoum, Dec. 2 (SUNA) - The oil revenues for October reached 608.76 million dollars, while the exports revenues reached 415 million dollars and the revenues of crude oil used at local refineries reached 193, 62 million dollars, announced the Undersecretary at the Ministry of Finance, Dr. Al-Tayeb Abu-Ganaya. He said at the meeting of the joint committee for the accounts and division of the oil revenues Tuesday that the share of the national government from the oil revenues in last October was 301.65 million dollars, while the share of the Government of South Sudan reached 272.04 million dollars. Dr. Abu-Ganaya said that the share of Abyei area from the oil revenues in October was 6.45 million dollars, while the share of the Fund for Unity Support was 28.64 million dollars, adding that the share of the Unity Support Fund was fixed by deduction of 50% from the share of the national government and deduction of 25% from the share of the Government of South Sudan in the revenues of the oil produced at the oil fields that are existing at areas that are subjected to arbitration according to the Protocol on Abbey. He indicated that the direct revenue transfers to the Government of South Sudan in October were 234.42 million dollars, while the transfers to the producing states reached 18.74 million dollars, 4.85 million of them for the Unity State, 7.57 million dollars for the Upper Nile State and 2.69 million dollars for South Kordofan State. Dr. Abu-Ganaya said that the total of the revenues transferred to Abyei area were 3.63 million dollars out of its share. Meanwhile, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance in the Government of South Sudan, Salvator Miardet, appreciated accuracy of the accounts of the joint committee for accounts and division of the oil revenues.
