North Darfur State affirms support to President Al-Bashir's initiative for solving Darfur issue
Al-Fashir, July 23 (SUNA) - Wali (Governor) of North Darfur State Osman Mohamed Yousif Kibir has reaffirmed support of Darfur people with all their affiliations to the initiative launched recently by the President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir for solving Darfur issue. Kibir, addressing a huge mass rally organized Wednesday in Al-Fashir on the occasion of President Al-Bashir's visit to North Darfur State, announced his government keenness to make the initiative a success, calling on the arms holders to work for the sake of peace. He described the allegations by the International Criminal Court as an attempt of cheap political blackmailing and to undermine the sovereignty of Sudan and aimed at hindering development in Darfur. The mass rally was also addressed by the Chairman of the Legislative Council of the state, Ustaz Al-Nour Mohamed Al-Nour. IF/BT
