New Strategy Set up to Open Markets for Sudanese Livestock and Meat Exports
Khartoum, Nov. 21 (SUNA)- The Minister of Animal Resources, Mohamed Tahir Abu-Kalabeesh, said that his ministry is focusing concern on opening new markets for the exports of Sudanese livestock and meat, In a statement to SUNA, Abu-Kalabeesh said that delegations from Jordan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are expected to visit Sudan to discuss ways to intensify the livestock exports to the two countries and to establish livestock investment projects in Sudan. The minister said that more than 100,000 heads of Hadi sheep were exported last week to Saudi Arabia, indicating that efforts are being exerted to provide a ship for transporting bigger quantities of Hadi sheep to Saudi Arabia in a proper time. He said that 160,000 heads of sheep are on the way to Port-Sudan for exportation. MO/MO
