NCRC approves Draft Elections Act by 90% and refers points of difference to the Presidency
Khartoum, March 24 (SUNA) - The National Constitutional Revision Commission (NCRC) approved the Draft Elections Act by 90% and referred the points of difference to the Presidency to settle them. Co-Chairman of the NCRC Abdullah Idris explained in a press conference in the presence of Co-Chairman Abel Alier Monday that submitting the points of difference to the Presidency was intended to be settled at the highest level quickly as conducting the elections comes in accordance with the Comprehensive Peace Agreement. He pointed out that the NCRC received a pledge from the President of the Republic Monday to give the issue due concern, adding that the Commission would meet the First Vice President in this connection. He affirmed that the draft act prepared by the NCRC settled basic issues. BT/BT
