Ministerial Committee of Arab - African Initiative to Meet in Doha during December 17 - 18
Khartoum, Dec. 5 (SUNA)- The ministerial committee for the Arab - African initiative, which is sponsored by Qatar, is due to meet in Doha during December 17 - 18. SUNA learned that the committee will review the efforts and the contacts so far conducted in the past period with the concerned parties in Darfur issue. Based on the outcome of such efforts and contacts, the ministerial committee would determine a date for the negotiations on Darfur issue. The committee includes the Foreign Ministers of a number of Arab and African countries, officials of the African Union and the chief mediator of the UN and the African Union. MO/MO
