Minister of Foreign Affairs Returns Home from Britain
Khartoum, May 1 (SUNA)- The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deng Alor, Thursday returned home from Britain after a visit during which he met within a delegation that comprised the Assistant of the President of the Republic, Dr. Nafie Ali Nafie, and Presidential Advisor, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and the Foreign Minister. In a statement to SUNA upon his return at Khartoum Airport, Alor said the visit to Britain was successful at all standards, indicating that they discussed with the British officials Darfur issue and ways for resolving it as well as the British proposal to bring together the parties and to lead negotiations to narrow differences between them. He said that the meetings would continue in the near future in this context. MO/MO
