Menawi Leaves on Visit to Libya
Khartoum, Dec. 1 (SUNA) - Senior Assistant of the President of the Republic and Chairman of the Transitional Darfur Regional Authority Meni Arko Menawi left Monday for Tripoli on a three-day visit to the Libyan Jamahiriyah during which he will meet the Libyan Leader Moammar Al-Ghadafi. Menawi will brief the Libyan leadership on the latest developments of the peace process in Sudan especially Darfur Peace Agreement and the efforts being exerted to complete it by including the factions that did not sign the agreement and the steps taken by the government toward implementation of the Forum of the Initiative of the People of Sudan as well as the ongoing preparations to make a success the Qatar-sponsored Arab African Initiative.
