Libya Declares Readiness to Implement Projects in Darfur

 

Khartoum, Nov. 21 (SUNA) - A Libyan delegation of Al-Qaddafi Organization has informed the State Minister at the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Ahmed Haroun, about the organization's readiness to begin implementation of the projects that Libya pledged to implement in the framework of the commitments of the Arab Conference in Support of the Humanitarian Situation in Darfur. In a statement to SUNA after his meeting with the delegation, Haroun said that these projects are in the fields of water, education, health and worshiping utilities. He described these projects are given priority and meet the demands of the people of Darfur. The minister said that a joint technical delegation of the Commission for Humanitarian Aid and the Libyan Al-Qaddafi Organization would visit Darfur in the coming period toward coordinating with the states in Darfur to begin immediate implementation of these projects. Haroun affirmed the keenness of his ministry to boost the implementation of these projects. The delegation of Al-Qaddafi Organization expressed their desire to contribute to the campaigns for removing landmines in South Sudan and efforts for development of the artificial limbs factories in the country.
