Karti calls on States of Sanaa Forum for Cooperation to Solve Borders' Disputes Internally

Khartoum, Dec. 29 (SUNA) - State Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ali Karti called on the states of Sana'a Forum for Cooperation which includes Sudan, Yemen, Ethiopia, Somalia and Djibouti, to work for the solution of borders' disputes within the grouping. Addressing the meeting of the ministerial council of Sanaa Forum for Cooperation Summit held Monday at the Friendship Hall in Khartoum, Karti said that the situations in Somalia became more complicated, urging Somalis to resort to wisdom and to adopt dialogue as away to overcome the crisis. Karti pointed to the phenomenon of piracy which threatens trade in Babalmandab Strait, calling for exerting collective efforts with the international community to end the phenomenon. He reviewed the situations in Sudan, explaining that the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) progresses well and the efforts are being exerted to solve Darfur problem, referring to the People of Sudan Initiative and the Arab- African Initiative to make an end to the suffering of Darfur citizens. He added the government remained affirming its cooperation with all international institutions in this respect. But in spite of all these efforts, the peace enemies create problems, referring to Ocampo's allegations, praising the supporting stances of the forum's states to Sudan. He welcomed participation of Djibouti, hoping that its partaking is to be a real addition to the forum. BH/BT
