Federal Minister of Health affirms Sudan's commitment to combat malaria disease
Khartoum, May 3 (SUNA) - Federal Minister of Health Dr. Thabita Boutros has affirmed Sudan's commitment to combat malaria disease in solidarity with the international community to ward off the dangers of the disease on the citizens and its effect on the economy by implementing the strategy for combating the disease. Addressing celebration marking international day for combating malaria in North Kordofan State, held under the theme "Malaria, Disease Without Borders," the Minister lauded the contributions of the partners to the programme to fight malaria disease. The national coordinator of the programme for combating malaria disease, Dr. Tariq Abdel-Gadir, pointed out that the theme of this year's day comes in the context of the international efforts to combat malaria as an international health problem.
