Court: Sudanese charged with car theft

Malta Independent Online, Malta :A Sudanese man living at Marsa Open Centre was remanded in custody after he pleaded not guilty to stealing a car on Friday morning in Qormi. Naser Abdallah Adam, 26, pleaded not guilty also to violently resisting two police constables and driving the car without a driver’s licence, road licence or insurance cover. Magistrate Lawrence Quintano denied him bail and remanded the man in custody. Police Inspectors Daniel Zammit and Malcolm Bondin prosecuted while Dr Mark Busuttil was legal aid to the accused. |
