Council of Ministers Appreciates Experiment of Holding Meetings of Ministerial Committees in the States

 

Khartoum, Dec. 18 (SUNA)- The Council of Ministers, chaired by the Vice - President of the Republic, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, has appreciated the experiment of convening the meetings of the ministerial committees in the states. In its regular meeting Thursday, the Council of Ministers praised the role of the Red Sea State in hosting the meetings of the joint Sudanese - Jordanian higher committee, which was held in both Khartoum and Port-Sudan in the first week of current December. The cabinet heard two reports presented by the Ministers of Industry and International Cooperation, Dr. Jalal Yousif Al-Degair and Dr. Al-Tigani Salih Fedail on outcome of the recent meeting of the joint Sudanese - Jordanian higher committee. The issues discussed by the joint higher committee included increasing the trade exchange between Sudan and Jordan, establishment of a centre of Sudanese exports at the Jordanian Aqaba port, agreement of Jordan government on entry of the Sudanese livestock and horticultural exports in Jordan, organization of the procedure of medicines' registration in the two countries, enhancement of the international transport between Sudan and Jordan, boosting the cooperation between the two countries in the free trade zones and their agreement to engage in a strategic partnership in the field of industrial exports.
