Chilmark pupils raise funds for Sudan

PUPILS at Chilmark and Fonthill Bishop Primary School have been learning about life in the Sudan and have raised over �400 to help youngsters there get an education.

The children were visited by Richard Budd, who went to the Sudan last year as part of the Salisbury Diocese Sudan Link.

Mr Budd is a photographer and he shared his photographs with the children and explained how desperate the children in the Sudan are to be able to go to school and that he plans to build a new school called Grace Secondary School.

The school held a harvest festival where the children explained about the Sudan Link. This service was followed by an auction of produce which raised �424.
