Chairperson of the African Union Commission: ICC adopts double-standards
Addis Ababa, Feb. 1 (SUNA) - The Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, Dr. Jean Ping, has wondered why the International Criminal Court (ICC) makes unfounded allegations against the African leaders, while it turns a blind eye to the documented acts of killings and genocides which are being committed before the eyes of the world and its cameras, referring to the ugly acts committed in the Gaza Sector in Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan. In a press conference following the deliberations of the African Union ministers, Dr. Ping pointed out that notwithstanding the principle of preventing impunity, but the ICC is not committed to the principle of justice and non politicization of the law. Meanwhile, the official of the African Union affairs in the Libyan Jamahiriyah, Dr. Ali Al-Teraiki, has affirmed in statement to Sudan News Agency (SUNA), the strong condemnation by Africa to the allegations of the ICC against President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir.
