Cabinet briefed on outcomes of Sana'a Forum Summit and Preparations for Peace Day Celebrations in Malakal

 

Khartoum, Jan. 5 (SUNA) - The Council of Ministers, chaired by President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, Monday heard a briefing by the President of the Republic on the outcomes of the summit meeting of Sana'a Forum for Cooperation which was held in Khartoum recently and focused on the Somali issue besides the efforts for peaceful solution to Darfur issue and supporting Sudan in all international forums with regard to the allegations of the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court. The cabinet also heard a report by the Assistant of the President of the Republic, Dr. Nafie Ali Nafie, on the preparations for the Peace Day celebrations to be organized in Malakal on January 9, which is considered an opportunity for affirming the unity of the internal front and determination for implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA). Meanwhile, Cabinet Affairs Minister Kosta Manibi presented the performance report of the Council of Ministers during the last year where the cabinet expressed satisfaction over what had been achieved. The Council of Ministers also heard a report on the Forum of Sudanese Working in the International and Regional Organizations and Financial Institutions which will be held at the Friendship Hall in Khartoum Wednesday.
