Arab Parliamentary Union Strongly Denounces ICC Prosecutor's Allegations
Khartoum, July 23 (SUNA) - The Arab Parliamentary Union has strongly denounced the memo of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Luis Moreno-Ocampo, on allegations of the President of the Republic of Sudan. The union described these allegations as intended to undermine the situation in Sudan and to abort the efforts to realize peace in the region. The Arab Parliamentary Union called on all the liberals world-wide to stand against the memo of the ICC prosecutor. It affirmed its rejection to the double-standard policy upon which the ICC prosecutor's allegations were based. The Arab Parliamentary Union called on all the parliamentary organizations and all the parliaments in the world that are adherent to the principles of the International Law to declare their rejection to ICC prosecutor's allegations, stand in support of Sudan and to boost the efforts to reach peace in Darfur.
