Ferreira celebrates a domestic cup victory last year |
The Brazilian coach of Sudanese side Al Hilal, Ricardo Ferreira, has told BBC Sport that he will leave the club at the end of the season.
Ferreira has spent three years at the club, and led Al Hilal to the semi-finals of last year's African Champions League.
He had predicted that the team would reach the final this year, but two draws at home in their group saw them unable to reach the last four.
"This is my last season in Sudan, it completes my moments here. I've had invitations in Africa and in Brazil," said Ferreira.
"It'll be good for Hilal to have a new coach with new ideas."
Ferreira said that his chief concern is the lack of junior development in Sudan.
"Here in Sudan there's no youth championship, no under-20, under-17, under-13 league," he said.
"I prepared this group of players when I arrived, but this group is now starting to get old.
"I don't see a good future because we don't have young players of the same condition - it's a big problem here in Sudan."
Ferreira has won the Sudanese league in each of his three seasons in charge, and Al Hilal earned a reputation as one of the most difficult teams to beat at home in African club competition.
But a 2-2 home draw to TP Mazembe ended a Champions League campaign that saw Al Hilal finish bottom of their group.
"I've had more good times than bad situations here," said Ferreira.
" In my three and a half years in charge we've drawn here three times - all the other times we won here."
