I will draw a curtain on this post and slow down the rate of interactions on the Sudanese discussion Boards,, mostly on the the one known as the the pionering Sudanese Discussion Board:....., due to the heavy load of homeworks, quizes, and exams facing me now on my current course of study. As promise, I will finish documening the massacre that took place in the two cities of Kapoeta and Toreit in Eastern Equatoria in the year 1955, that resulted in the savage killing of approximately 36 of my close family members, including my father, an uncle, my grandfather, my father's uncle,together with his yougest wife and his children from her, and many of my father's cousins , together with their wives and children.0

As I have stated previously, the leadership of the community in the vilage of Ondome had been resteing on the the shoulders of the the enlightedned members of my family from my father's side, the clan of Al-Fazari. It happened that, members of my my family, including my father, his two brothers, and some his cousinns, were the first in our community who had obtained some academic form of educatiion. My people, the clan of Al-fazari, were behind the construction of the first two primery Schools for boys and girls in the village of Omdome. I have been informed that my father played the major role in the the construstion of the first Girl School in Omdome They were alo the driving force behind the building of the first heath clinic in our small community. They also pushed for and executed the first cooperative service bus in the village, to transfer passengers between the village of Omdome and the Capital Khartouim.These are just few example of the develomental projects facilitated by some members of my family, mostly from my father's side, to serve the small community in the vilage of Omdome. 0
At the national level, the educated and businesss savvy people of the clan of Al-Fazar back then were active members in the National Unionist party. That of course was before the leadership of the party had been sold out in a golden plate to the famous sofist sect leader: Ali Al-marghani. Theyused to support that party's platform financially and intellectuall. In fact, one of our family members was very close then to the leadership of the party he had been prepared to be a representative of the party in the soon to be established : Sudanese Parliament. So in the years before the election, following the successful Sudanization policy to the civil service, the party was active in its preparation to win more seats in the soon to be parliamentary election. My people were big perrsonalities in the provice of Equatoria of Southern Sudan. They were the leading businessmen in that region. And as we all know, Egypt back then had invested interests in the first Sudanese Parlianmentary election, sice one of the two major Sudanese party: the National Unionist party had been calling for the Independance of the Sudan from Great Britain and the pursue of a ploitical policy that may lead to the union between Egypt and the Sudan. Hence, the thengovernment of \Egypt, opted to send tge Brigidaire: SAlah SAlim, an influential membetr of the Egyptian ruling lonely party,with a tons of money to spoil the the integrity of the political process inthe Sudan by paying money for people who were willing in return to vote for the National Unionist party. So it happened that Salah Salim found his way to the provindce of Equatoria in Southern Sudan, loaded with huge amount of money to distribute to voters from Southern Sudan, to vote for the National Unionist party. As I have been told., My grand fahter. his older brothe , together with their nephews and grown- up sons, received and honored the visiting Ebyptian guest: SAlah Salim with a welcoming party ( was .(.he Salah SAlim or SAlah Nasr ? My memory is failing me
At that time , my youngest uncle,
Abdella Mohammed Al-FAzari, was visiting the city of Kapoeta to spend some time with his father, two brothers and some other cousins , di-during the School major break. A big party was arranged in honor of the visiting Egyptian guest. As part of the party's ceremonies,, my grand father, asked his youngest son Abdellah Mohammed Al-FAazari,to deliver a welcoming speech for the honorable Egyptian guest. So, being agood and talented speaker, my youngest uncle, Abdellah M Al-FAzari, now goes by the short name: Baba Fazari, did a wodnderful job in weloming the guest. Salah Alim was so impressed with the eloquency of the young speaker and soon afteer he convinced his father to send him to Egypt, under a full scholarship from the government of Egypt, to join the military School in Egypt, soas to graduate as an army officer. My uncel deep inside was not into fighting and fire arms. He loves to paly his flute and lute. As a young adult he was accustomed to visiting the shore of the
Blue Nile River by the village of Omdoem and play his Musical instruments there., Anyhow, Uncle Abdella succumed to the will of hsi father and Salah Salinm. He went to Egypt to study in its military School. However, he soon changed his major and joined King Fuad's Musical Institute in Cairo, Egypt, to replenish his thirst for the art of Music. My uncle: Abdella graduated from Fuad Musical Institue with honor, He later married a beautiful and fine Egyptian girl from Cairo, Egypt. He finally came to the Sudan in the the early 60's. His return coincided with the establishment of Sudan 't TV during the reign of General 3abbood. I was told that it was a coincidence that led to his specialization in writing lyrics for children songs, composing them , and make rehearsal for the kids to presentthem, , first the Sudan's RAdio, and lately- after the establisment of Sudan's Tv- Sudan's Tv. My grandfather had married twice, following the death of his first wife, the mother of my father and his youngest todether : Abdella, He was married to great ladies from two distinguished families in Omdome. I thereafter had three living aunts, from my father's dide. Anyhow, one of uncle Abdell.s sister,, a young girl, told him about a competition in her School to compose one of the lyrics from the School's book of Lyrics.. Uncle Abdella Fazari, checked out the intended lyric from his youngest sister;s grade book of lyrics . He like it, and smoothly, without even feeling it, he found himself caming up with acomposion to that Lyrics. His sister locved it, She recited the composiution at the School. The Arabic class female teacher loved the composition of the lyric recited by my youngest aunt: Saneeya. They wanted to give her a prize for her god job but she refused saying that the credit for the composition belongs to her oldest and only living brother,.In fact, the compsition was so sweet, that every one in the School started to recite it again and again and agaimn.So my uncle, got the message. He said to himmsellf: Why not try my newly founded talent in the Children program in Omdurman Radio? He chose some convenient lyric, composed it, selected some boys from Omdome Primary school, did the rehersal, and present the song to Omdurnam radio, Children Program.They liked his work so much that after they played it, they asked him to continue cooperating with them. He later became a fixter in Omduyrman Radio, Children Program. A
After the establishment of Sudan TV, it became natural for him to showcase his talents as a lyricist, and composor for Children songs at that new medium, since the building of Sudan TV was next to Sudan's RAdio. He even became bigger and biger, He started with the first Sudan Tv's Children Program, under mama Safia. at the time when the TV was black and white. Then came the (late ) Mama Siham Al-maghrabi.

Now I am continuin g the narration to the story of the massacre that befalled some of my closest relatives. 0
Be adviced that the the details of how some of my relatives were killed had been obtained from the trial proceedings to some of the arrested culprits on the massacre of Toreit and Kapoeita, 1955. by my father's cousin: Dr. HAsab Al-Rasool Al-Shaikh Al-Fazari. Dr. HAssab Alrasool..... is a holser of a PHD daegree in Law . He served for several years as a Judge in Khartoum, prior to his immigration to Saudi Arabuia. on the early seventies of the last century.0
The reason for the rebelion,as it had been documented was the refusal of some army Units in Toreit and Kapoeta to follow orders to be mobilized to some other part of the Sudan. Most of the officers and staff soldiers on those two units were from Southern Sudan. It was already the middle of the year 1955. Some Polititians from Southern Sudan were not happy with great Britain because it had succumbed to the will of the Polititians from Northern Sudan and agreed to remove all the British civil servants, army and Police officears, on Jnuary 1,1956 . On that date Sudan will be decalred an Independant Statee. Some of the Southern Policians were not happy from Great Britain and felt they were betrayed and left under the mercy of the North, and its whimsical Politicains. The politicians from Northen Sudan, however, promised the Aome of the politicians from the Southern Sudan that they will provide them some form of autonomy following the departure of the British staff,amnd the decalration of the country as Independent. In Kapoeita and Toreit , those Southern officers of those two army units, refused to follow the orders coming from a higher authority. They had also been incited by some Southern Politicians not to do so. So they, the officers on those arny units, urged and incited some Simple, Southern Citizens on those tow cities to start a riots and protest the British authority in the Sudanfor abandon them. So the native of Kapoeta and Toreit started a rowdy riots, They started throwing rocks on Northerners living in those two cities. NMy people in those two cities did not feelsafe. they closed their businessed and stayed home waiting fot the situation to ease up. A few days later, some army officers on those two and well known to my relative then approached my grandfather : Mohammed, who was as president of the Merchants; guild in equatoria, and hid older brother, Alshaikh, in Toreit, and informed them that they are concerned for their safety because of the riot. They can guarantee their safety if they stayed home. They adviced them to follow their guidance and agree to stay in the main prison until the situation scalm down. My father: Ahmed, did not trust those army oficers. He smelled a fish, He told those officers that he wil not leaving his home. He may have sensed something wrong. However, the rest of the Northerners in Kapoeta, whowere very trusting to those army officers, agreed to follow them to the main prison. My father, a tall and strong young man on his early thirties, stood fast on his refusal, So they used force to remove him.He was injured on his head,but was finally removed by force after many officers collaborated in removing him from his residence. My grandfather was very trusting to those officers, bercause he knew them by name for quite some time. Riot never stopped. There is however, one Northerners in Kapoeta who happened to be an army officer,who had loaded hid gun and threaten to shoot on any invaders to his residence He held the rioters at bay. However, those officers, who took my grandfathers, his two soms, some other nephew and their children, approached my grandfather and said to him: " Father Mohammed, we want to protect you all. However, we can not guarantee the safety of that army officer from the north who did not stop firing on people appraching his residence. They sought the assistance of ny grandfather to convince that army officer to lay down his arm and folow them to the main prison, to be protected by them untill the situation quites. My grand father was still trusting to those Army officears. He thought they were doing the right thing, So when those officers sought his help to convince that barrackating amy officears , who was
originally form the North, to lay down his arm and jagree to a temporary stay in Kapoeita's prison
