Facts First, then interpretations;
On the December 2nd, a meeting was called for by the Democratic Alliance to look into ways to boost political activities in the Washington Area and the SPLM was not invited to that meeting upon the rest of one political party. One of the political parties that attended this meeting, tabled a motion to be adjorn and another meeting to be scheduled to which all other political parties be invited, including the SPLM.
The second meeting took place on December 9th and attended by the SPLM, The Democratic Alliance, The Umma Party, The HAG Movement, The Liberal Party. The DUP representative did not attend due to another engagment , and told me personally that the DUP is committed to whatever the outcome of the meeting.
The meeting discussed a number of issues with emphasis on how to boost our collective political activities in the area. The Democratic Alliance suggested, and as an initiation to our joind efforts, to celebrated the Third CPA anniversary. The SPLM agreed to the suggestion, although, as we mentioned to the meeting, our own preparations were already on swing.
A national committee was formed under the secretariat of the SPLM. Up until this point nobody mentioned anything about the Independence.. After four meetings down the road and when almost every contact, money, venue, time schedule .....ect were completed, a member from the DUP called me and said it will be a good idea to add the Independence to the event. I told him it is a good idea and I have no objection, but for this suggestion to official and effective, it will be a good idea as well for him to come to the next meeting (01/05/2008) and raise it yourself. He did not show up to that meeting and all other subsequent ones,
One of the members of the Umma party also called me and ask whether their suggestion to add the Independence to this event, is delivered to our last meeting. I told him nobody officially delivered your suggestion and I would recommend, that the Umma Party should attend the next meeting and present your suggestion to the meeting. That member from the Umma came to the following meeting, and explicitly said, if you add the Independence to the event then we will participate and if not we will just attend. His suggestion was reject on the spot based on that all the preparation were completed and it is not conceivable to come to meeting before the last and ask us to change the whole program. That all the preprations for the two days program revolve around the CPA and not the Independece, and that the head of your party in the area attended the first meeting and knows about the theme of the event.
For your information, your DUP representative participated and delivered a speech on behave of the DUP in the event.
DId you ask yourself why the DUP and the Umma and other parties did not celebrate the Independence Day ?
When you clean your own house, then you might be eligible and qualified to ask us that question
All your incohert ramblings about the SPLM does not deserve answers because your approach is really belittling the political discussions leave alone political thoughts.
Unless you cahnge the angle through which you approach and analyse issues, then you are bound to reach incorrect results.
