Practical Action is an International NGO, with Head Office in the UK and working in South Asia, Southern and East Africa and Latin America. It works to alleviate poverty through the development and use of appropriate technologies by the communities, demonstrating results, sharing knowledge, building capacity to replicate and influencing others for scaling up. Practical Action seeks to achieve this by implementing work under four International Aims: (i) Reducing Vulnerability; (ii) Making Markets Work for the Poor; (iii) Improving Access to Infrastructure Services and (iv) Responding to New Technologies.
