Sudanese, Djiboutian officials hail outcome of deliberations

    KUWAIT, March 20 (KUNA) -- Acting Permanent delegate of Sudan to the Arab League Ambassador Al-Hassan Al-Arabi said here on Thursday that meetings of the Economic and Social Economic Council at the elevel of senior officials was of great significance as it touched on a number of issues pertinent to inter-Arab cooperation in the economic and social domains.
    On the sidelines of the meeting, Al-Arabi told KUNA the meeting tackled a number of issues that were of interest to the Arab countries amid the current challenges.
    He added that the recent resolutions reached during the previous summits were implemented in a good manner, expressing his hope in the outcome of the upcoming Arab summit due here on March 25-26 as Kuwait enjoys a leading role on the regional and international levels.
    He said the economic files were among the most significant topics that contribute to the development of the joint Arab action, referring to other issues pertinent to the great Arab free trade zone and the Arab customs union that push the Arab intergation march forward.
    For his part, Ambassador of Djibouti in Cairo and its permanent representative at the Arab League Moussa Mohammad Ahmad said the upcoming Arab summit would tackle political and economic aspects and would review a number of essential topics that would have positive impacts on the Arab citizens.
    In a statement to KUNA, he described the deliberations of the Economic and Social Council as "very cordial", especially as Kuwait had hosted numerous conferences in which it had always succeeded.
    He said that his country's delegation would urge the Arab countries to invest in Djibouti particularly the private sectors. (pick up previous).
