Sudan People's Liberation Movement-North calls on citizens to resist price increases and topple the regime
Khartoum-Sudan People's Liberation Movement-North has called on its supporters and bases of Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF) and all Sudanese people to move in peaceful work together to reject the new economic policies announced by Khartoum's government , stressing its rejection of the increasing fuel, urging to stop the war and topple what is described "State corruption".
The movement revealed that the ruling regime asked three countries to resume negotiations with it, reiterating its position of the comprehensive solution or overthrow the regime of President Omar al-Bashir.
SPLM-N Secretary-General, Yasser Arman, told Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper on Wednesday that policies announced by the ruling National Congress party (NCP) to increase fuel prices is just the first step, indicating that the ruling party always resorts to resolve the crises of governance at the expense of the poor.
"The only solution is to change the regime, we say that Sudan is failed State because it has lost third of its size and third of population to maintain the ruling party " Arman added
He went on to say that NCP has chosen secession rather than the Citizenship State and war rather than peace, noting the current system has committed genocide in more territory in the country and Al-Bashir's party has fuelled more wars in South Sudan
Arman added that Sudan's ruling party spends more than 70% of its budget on security, repression and war, compared to less than 2% on health and education, saying that restoring of budget requires cessation of war, totalitarianism, corruption and restore the productive sectors.
"This requires regime change. No solution but to take to the streets by all those affected "he urged
