S. Sudan Foreign Minister denies notification on rebel leader visit to Khartoum

Khartoum-The South Sudan Foreign Minister Benjamin Barnaba described, on Saturday, the relations between his country and Khartoum as developed, denying any “covert” between the two neighboring countries. He pointed to the diplomatic movement between the two countries in the past period and flow of the oil through Sudan pipeline.
Speaking to the Citizen by phone, the minister said that we did not receive any notification from the Sudanese Foreign Minister on the visit of Machar to Khartoum so far, adding that” we are confident that will receive notification from Khartoum on any such move due to considerations of joint coordination on realization of peace and stability in our country”.
He affirmed that the stability of South Sudan will have positive impact on the stability of the region and the situations in Sudan.

He considered what has been said about the visit of Machar to Sudan as “just news on newspapers”.
The official spokesperson of Machar, Youhans Musa, has revealed intention by Machar to visit Sudan, Kenya, Djibouti and Somalia next week to brief the leaders of these countries on the progress of negotiation with Salva Kiir.
According to the Turkish Anadul news agency, Machar will confirm, during the visit, his commitment to the recent cease fire agreement, and that the crisis in South Sudan cannot be resolved without negotiations.
In the meantime, China has urged the parties to the conflict in South Sudan to put an end to the tension and to show commit to the cease fire agreement. The Chinese Foreign Ministry has welcomed the cease fire agreement and resumption of negotiations between the two parties. The spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Friday that” we expect positive movements from both sides to help pacifying the situation”
