July 9, 2011 marks the beginning of a new African country founded on principles of freedom, justice and equality.
Heads of State from around the world will join Republic of South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit and Vice President Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon in Juba, South Sudan on July 9th to celebrate and to commemorate the sacrifice and struggle of millions of Southern Sudanese and to acknowledge and appreciate the support of the international community, which combined, resulted in the achievement of this historic and momentous occasion.
